Inspired by my friend Ben Hong (no longer logging), who got the idea from Jen Myers, I am continuing the practice of tracking my media consumption this year.
Past media logs: 2023 | 2022 | 2021 | 2020 | 2019
Key: (B) = book | (F) = film | (T) = television series (completed season) | (L) = live performance (theater, music, comedy, etc.) | (A) = album (music) | (G) = video game | (C) = stand-up comedy special | [R] = reread/rewatch
Logged during the month I completed the unit. For example, I log a full season of a TV show after watching the last episode of the season, whether I began the season that day or years earlier, I log a game or album when I complete the entire thing, etc.

So I consumed a lot less media after having a baby. I snuck in some TV-watching during my first month of parenthood during 30-minute nursing sessions and during evenings when my husband and I were keeping ourselves awake until the next feeding cycle, but I spent most of my time sleeping and sleeping and sleeping, and then as the baby became more and more alert, I didn’t want too much screen exposure. It wasn’t until we were able to get the baby sleeping earlier and more consistently that we were able to start watching a show together in the evenings.
I will just say I was really impressed by how faithful the Percy Jackson show was after getting into the books recently, I was very impressed by Fallout as a great video game adaptation that tells a unique story while remaining true to the essence of the source material, and I was really surprised by how much I liked Agatha All Along, a show I had no interest in and did not ask for after WandaVision but liked enough to make my husband watch it with me after I finished. I read one non-baby book, and that was for a book club that I facilitate, so I hope to read more next year! I also hope I can get back into watching more movies, I did really miss doing that this year, but I basically could only commit to watching a lot of Youtube videos instead. Getting to see a movie in the theater was an extra treat, as it is tricky to do without securing childcare if I want to go with my partner.
