Logged during the month I completed the unit. For example, I log a full season of a TV show after watching the last episode of the season, whether I began the season that day or years earlier, I log a game or album when I complete the entire thing, etc.

It was a good year of dipping my toe into getting back into media, looking back. I got to play another fun Hazelight Studios game, I finally watched the extended editions of my beloved LotR movies, I snuck in a movie on the airplane while holding my sleeping child, I attended a private screening of a documentary, I attended live events again!

Highlights from the year:

• Andor season 1 was such a masterpiece I had lower expectations for the second season, but it was just as masterfully done and so painfully apt for the times we live in that I put off watching it for longer than I’m proud to admit
• I actually started a blog post for this but it was a real treat to watch Pride & Prejudice in theaters for the first time during its re-release, that movie had an outsized impact on me as a movie watcher and it was great to share it with a friend primarily only knew the movie via its many memes
• This year I became a Dropout subscriber basically for Gamechanger and by golly did this season deliver
• Garden State Radio was incredible, if the friend who brought me to see them has a wedding I will sincerely try to book them for him wow

There is a lot of media to look forward to this upcoming year. While I’m trying not to let external pressures influence me too much (for example, I don’t think I’m going to set a goal number of books for a while), I do find myself prioritizing what show to catch up on based on how likely I am to encounter spoilers for example. So, while I don’t care about Stranger Things more than the other shows I want to watch, I am rushing to finish so as to not have the finale spoiled for me because I am still trying to hold strong on my past resolution to avoid spoilers for things and enjoy the surprise of a good story.
